This page explains how to delete the data Talkable holds, what each action removes, and how long it takes. Most of it you can do yourself in the app. The rest we do on request.
1. What you can delete
Three actions, from narrowest to widest: disconnect a platform, delete a project, delete your account. Each one is described below, with what it removes and what it leaves behind.
2. Disconnect a platform
Open the project, go to Platforms, and press Disconnect on Instagram, Facebook or Telegram. The access token and the connection record are deleted at once, and nothing new is received on that platform.
Conversations already in your dashboard belong to the project and stay there. To remove those as well, delete the project or write to support@talkable.so.
3. Instagram and Facebook data
From a connected Instagram account or Facebook Page we hold the account or Page ID and its name, an access token, the direct messages your customers send to it, and the delivery status of the replies we send. Nothing else reaches us.
Disconnecting the platform deletes the token and the connection and stops all further processing. To have the stored messages and their attachments deleted too, delete the project, or write to support@talkable.so from the address on your account with the project name and the Instagram username or Page name. We complete it within 30 days and write back when it is done.
You can also remove Talkable under Settings, Apps and websites in your Facebook or Instagram account. That cuts off our access immediately. Send the request above as well if you want what is already stored to go.
4. Delete a project
In the project, open Settings, press Delete project, and type the project name to confirm. This removes the catalog and every file uploaded to it, the assistant configuration, all conversations and orders, the connected platforms and their tokens, and the project's members and invitations. Everyone else on the project loses access at the same moment, and it cannot be undone.
If the project's subscription should not renew, cancel it on the billing page first.
5. Delete your account
Open Account settings, press Delete account, then type your email address and your password to confirm.
If you own a project, the deletion is blocked and we list what you own. Transfer ownership to another member or delete each project, then come back. Projects where you were only a member keep running without you.
Deleting the account removes your profile, your password, your notification settings, and your project memberships.
6. Ask us to do it
Write to support@talkable.so from the email address on the account and name what should go: the account, a project, a connected platform, or one customer's conversation. We may ask you to confirm the address before we act, and we finish within 30 days.
7. What stays behind
Deleted data leaves the live service immediately. Backups hold copies for a limited period before they cycle out, and we do not restore deleted data from them.
We keep invoices and payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and anything an open legal claim requires us to hold. Nothing else survives a deletion.
8. If you messaged a business that uses Talkable
The business decides what happens to that conversation: we store it for them. Ask them to delete it. If you cannot reach them, write to support@talkable.so with the account you messaged and roughly when, and we will pass the request on and remove what we hold.
9. Contact
Deletion requests and questions about this page go to support@talkable.so. What we collect, and why, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
