This Refund Policy explains when Talkable refunds a payment and how to ask for one. It applies to every subscription bought at talkable.so and forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Who takes your payment
Payments for Talkable are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle appears on your card or bank statement, issues your invoices, and carries out any refund we approve. Requests still come to us first: we decide them, and Paddle carries out the result.
2. Free trial
Where a plan is offered with a free trial, the trial length and its end date are shown before you pay and on your project's billing page. A payment method is required to start a trial, and nothing is charged until the trial ends.
Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged at all, so there is nothing to refund. Once the trial ends the first payment is taken automatically and this policy applies to it like any other.
3. Subscriptions renew automatically
Monthly plans renew every month and annual plans renew every year, on the anniversary of the day you subscribed, until you cancel. The renewal date and amount are shown on your project's billing page before each renewal.
Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not end the period you have already paid for: your project keeps running until the end of that period, and only then does access stop.
4. What we do not refund
We do not refund a period that is already under way, because you keep the plan for the rest of it. In particular:
- Time left on a cancelled subscription, since the project runs to the end of the paid period;
- Monthly payments already taken for months you decided not to use;
- AI usage already consumed against your plan's monthly limits;
- Fees where an account was suspended or terminated for breaching our Terms of Service.
5. When we do refund
We refund in full, on request, in these cases:
- You were charged more than once for the same period;
- You were charged after cancelling, where the cancellation was recorded before the renewal;
- An annual renewal you did not intend, if you tell us within 14 days of the charge and the project has had little or no use in that time;
- A fault on our side left the service unusable for a meaningful part of a billing period and we could not put it right.
Outside these cases we will still look at what happened. If something has clearly gone wrong for you, tell us and we will try to make it right.
6. Changing plan
A plan change takes effect immediately, in either direction, and is prorated. Moving to a more expensive plan is charged for the remainder of the current period only, not as a full extra period. Moving to a cheaper plan credits the unused part of what you already paid against your next invoice, rather than returning it to your card.
7. How to request a refund
Write to support@talkable.so from the email address on the account, and include the project name and the date and amount of the charge. Your invoices are also available in the billing portal, reachable from Manage billing on the project's billing page.
We answer refund requests within 5 working days. Approved refunds are returned by Paddle to the original payment method, and usually reach it within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank.
8. Taxes
Where the price you paid included VAT or sales tax, a refund includes that tax. Where tax was added on top at checkout, the refunded amount includes it as well.
9. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank before talking to us, the account and its projects may be suspended while the dispute is open. Contacting us first is faster and we would rather resolve it directly.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If a change reduces your rights under it, we will tell account owners by email before it takes effect. The version in force is the one published here on the day you were charged.
